Advent Lessons and Carols - Sunday, December 2 @ 4.00pm

or, more correctly, Procession with Carols and Lessons for Advent.

Join us this Sunday afternoon as we begin our Advent Season with this service of music and readings.

A highlight will be a performance of a new setting of Ave Virgo Sanctissima by English composer, Judith Bingham - a modern choral gem that is sure to find its way into the canonic repertoire of the Advent.

Other music is by Guerrero, Parry, Lloyd and Carter and the final reading, from the Gospel of Mark, will be proclaimed by The Right Reverend Robert F. Bennett, Bishop of Huron.

The O Antiphons will be intoned by the Canon Precentor, William G. Cliff.

There is no better way to enter into this preparatory season than in quiet reflection and joyful song in the beautiful contemplative surroundings of London's Oldest Church.
